Neuschwanstein Castle


Neuschwanstein Castle, built by King Ludwig II, was opened for the ublic in 1886, six weeks after his death. About 1.3 million people visit the castle of the Fairy Tale King annually. It is open daily except on the 24th, 25th, 31st of December and 1st January. Tickets are available at the Ticket Center Hochenschwangau right below the Castle. There is an option of horse carriages rides driving up to the Castles from the Hotel Müller right next to the Ticket Center. There is also an bus transfer from Hotel Lisl to the Neuschwanstein Castle. Walking it will take you around 30minutes to reach the Castle.
